What can the BE-attitudes do for me

From the worlds point of view; the characteristics that Jesus brought out in, what's known as the "be-attitudes" would  be considered weaknesses. But from heaven's perspective, these characteristics are strengths instead of weaknesses; now which one are you going to believe - God or man ? When you look at the verses in Matthew 5; Jesus brings out 8 different characteristics or attitudes in his people that will bring about his blessedness in their lives. 1. Poor in spirit (humbleness), 2. Grieving, 3. Meekness, 4. Righteous living, 5. A compassionate heart (merciful), 6. Pure heartedness, 7. Peacemakers, and 8. Being persecuted for his sake. Not ways about people this world would call a winner or successful, but...... what would our creator say ?

jesus teaching be-attitudesMat 5:1 - And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2  And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

All these things the world would call weaknesses; but this is what the kingdom of heaven will be made of; and this is what the Lord will bless in our lives. After all folks, who wants to be meek, humble, one who makes peace instead of  getting even, or especially one who gets persecuted for what they believe? Not many people, not even many Christians in our times wants to be like this; but make no mistake about what Jesus is saying - in his eyes these are strengths of character instead of weaknesses and they are not optional to Christianity, he requires this of us. We are supposed to be a peculiar people1 Peter - 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:  KJV and a separated peopleRomans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  KJV and that is exactly what the "be attitudes" will do for us. And you know what; it will do it without us even knowing it's being done. If you want to be blessed in your life; follow Matthew 5 and be-blessed.
