Plan to prioritize

The word prioritizingestablishing an order of importance or urgency is a word that can make all the difference in the world in any persons life. It is the difference between living without any direction and goals and living as one that is floating aimlessly through this everyday grind we call life. While it is true; that none of us are guaranteed tomorrowJames 4:14 - Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. KJV , life is like taking a long journeyall we have is the moment - but God still expects us to have some priorities in our lives. A person that doesn't have priorities in life is like someone who plans a long trip to a distant location, and they begin their journey; but get preoccupied with the highway, the road signs, the food they eat along the way, and the length of the trip. And while they are on their way, they completely forget about the importance of getting to their final destination; being preoccupied with what is before us; and what is going on around us sometimes makes us forget what is the most important thing to us. The most important thing to any person should be the final destination they are going to arrive at; instead of the trip through life.

Jesus gives some good sound wisdom in Luke 6:31-3331 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. KJV about this journey we are on through life. He said not to worry or get preoccupied with all the things that go on as we travel through life; that is what will get us sidetracked in life and will make us take our eyes off the final destination and the importance of it to us. There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun. What would it profit a man if he gained the whole world, but lost his never dying soul - Mark 8:36For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? KJV

Even though none are guaranteed tomorrow, I believe God still expects us to prioritize our lives and Jesus tells us what that priority should be - to seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness first and first meaning the highest priority. There is a promise that goes along with this priority, if we will seek him first, all things will be added to us. So you see my friends, according to this promise; we really don't have to worry about the trip as long as the final destination is our highest priority - Jesus will take care of everything along the way for us and he is able to do it.
