No trouble is a new trouble

There are some people you come across in life that has the idea that no one has ever had it as bad as me, or nobody has seen the trouble I've seen, trouble I've seen, trouble I've seen .... as the old song goes! No one has ever had to travel the road I've trod -- everybody should feel sorry for me! It's great to be compassionate toward people, but don't handicap them by over-sympathizing and would be under achiever.

I have seen some people in predicaments that... honestly; looked like no one had ever been there before, but according to the Bible in Ecclesiastes 1:9 Ecc 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  KJV, there is no new thing under the sun. No trials and troublesmatter what any of us have been through, no matter what trial or temptation, trouble or adversity, grief or hardship - somebody has already been through it; somewhere at some time in this great big old world. And not just went through it, but came out of it better than they were before they started in it. We like the idea of everybody feeling sorry for little old me sometimes; that kind of strokes the little carnal person inside us, babies us, and pampers us just a little. A little of that may be OK, but too much will ruin a person.

The Bible is clear on the matter of trials and temptation (the things the Christians go through in this world to test their metal). In 1 Corinthians 10:131Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  KJV, God tells each of us; that we have not been through anything more than everybody else goes through - there are no "uncommon" trials and temptaton that he allows anyone to go through. He will only allow us to be tempted and tried with what is common in the world of mankind - and not only that; but he will provide a safe way of escape so we won't be destroyed with it. God is faithful to give us a safe way out so we can bear the troubles in life without being utterly cast down. We may slip and stumble, we may even fall momentarily, but he will always extend a loving hand to help us up. That's the kind of God he is! So the next time you get into a situation or predicament and you would say.... no body has ever been through anything like this. Remember what God says, "such as is common to man" - somebody has already went through it somewhere in the world - and has made it out better than they went in.
