How to handle church leadership problems

A hypotheticaltheoretical situation... Let's say you are a member of this certain church and you don't feel that the church leadership is doing things in a just and righteous manner - what do you do ? You have three options; you can fight against them, you can try to do the right thing, or you can leave the church. Be careful if you decide to fight them, you must be standing leadershipperfectly on the right ground; if not you could quickly get yourself in the wrong place with God. Why; because he is the one that has allowed them to be the leadership in that church, and they will be judged for their leadership by him. The best option would be to follow the Word of God about this matter and then you would know you are standing on the right ground, and that's what is most important to you.

The Bible gives us some direction about the leadership of the church and our responsibility in this area in Hebrews 13:17Heb 13:17 - Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.  KJV. In this verse God tells us obey them that has the rule over us (the leadership of the church) and to submit ourselves to them; because their job is to watch out for our good. If they are not doing their job, they will be responsible to God for it. If you fail at doing your job of obeying them and submitting to them, guess what - you won't be doing your job and you will be accountable to God for it. You see how quickly you can get yourself in the wrong place with God when you feel like others are not doing the right thing !

It is true today; the leadership of too many churches are not fulfilling their job of looking over the sheep. It seems that 90% of the leadership are looking out for number one instead of the flock; but that doesn't give anyone the right to take matters in their own hands. Too disobey God would be the wrong route to take, to keep ourselves in the right place with God is always the most productive route. If you just can't take what's going on in the church, and you are not sure you are standing on the right ground to fight against it - the best alternative would be to find another church; and leave it to the Almighty to sort out the problems; or shortcomings at your previous church.
