Jesus prince of peace and bearer of the sword

think not that i came to bring peace, but rather a swordJesus Christ the prince of peaceIsaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.   KJV - that's the Christ most people are familiar with in our days. The humble, suffering servant, never say a negative word Christ. That is who Jesus is - but don't be believing the wrong way about who he is and what he is about. He is the prince of peace, but not the peace that most people think of when they hear that word. He is the one who brings a peace that passes all understandingPhilippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  KJV into people's lives - not world peace. Much to the contrary - he is about division, mild division; not radical left winged shootem' up kind of division - but a firm... I believe this way and you won't change my mind...  kind of division. But still, a type of division that will make the Christians the enemies of many.

The Christ said himself in Luke 12:51-53Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. Luk
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.   KJV
that he didn't come to bring peace on the earth, but rather division. This is the Christ that the Bible presents, he stood against religion, against sin, against wrongdoing, against the goats and other evil of all types. This is what he was about. He loved his people, but he was still righteous and holy, so he can not condone unrighteousness and that character will bring about a division between the world and the Christian; even between the goats and the sheep. If you aren't sure what I'm talking about (goats and sheep), it's about the church membership. The church has 2 kinds of people, those who want to do what's right (the sheep), and those who want to do what they want to do (the goats). One is selfless, and the other is selfish - one wants God's will to be done, the other wants their will done. There is where the division is formed, between those who want to do right and the ones who, well they just want their way. Jesus has never told any of us in the church - the members, teachers, or pastors; that we have to lie down and let the goats have their way just because they will rant and rave until they get it - he said this to his people in Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.   KJV, I came to bring a sword.

One of the biggest problems we face in the church today is that the sheep don't know what the shephard stood for and is all about - he only layed down to be sacrificed for each of us - but not to let the world, or the goats have their way.
